Playing Catch Up....Virtual Quilting Bee Block #1

   This morning I decided to join this Virtual Quilting Bee and start making BOM with them they are on Block Nine I am on One so this is going to be a week of playing catch up...this is not only a good way to use up some scraps I have but in the end I will have a cute quilt...Block One  down Eight more to go...

Busy as a Bee...

Yesterday I had an all day sewing marathon and it was glorious!!!!...I made 4 burp cloths using cloth diapers they turned out nice and then I made my Daughter in Law a handbag she wanted one to use for her makeup...I love days that I get to be at home creating and sewing to my hearts content...

This morning I decided to get creative I found a you tube video that was easy and very detailed how to make these darling little handbags so............or should I say Sew................It only took me about 2 hours to make..

A few Fun Projects completed...

I was able to finish a couple little projects that I have been working on...it seems like my time has been racing by and I can't get enough time to get all my sewing done that I would like to but I made a point last week to sit down and get these little things done...a hand embroidered mini flower pillow and a small table runner....

I need Motivation I need Inspiration....

I have not touched my sewing machine in at least 2 months as shocking as that is to me I can't believe it as I am typing it here...but it's true I lost my motivation to create...then low and behold my quilting Friend gives me a call and says lets go to the quilt shops on Saturday....and am I ever excited to go and get that motivation back and be inspired again to make some cute things...My sewing machine and I are missing each other terribly and I think this might just be the cure...last week I ordered the book "Patchwork Please!" and "Mug Rugs" and have been thumbing through them and getting some ideas for a couple projects I'd like to try...so all in all I am sure this Saturday trip to the Fabric shops will get me going again...
